Ramatuelle Festival: 40 years of theater, humor and emotions

The Festival de Ramatuelle was born in 1985 from the meeting between Jean-Claude Brialy, an emblematic actor, and Jacqueline Franjou, then vice-president of the Tourist Office. Together, they gave life to an ambitious cultural event, in tribute to Gérard Philipe, to enhance the village of Ramatuelle, located just a stone's throw from Saint-Tropez.‍

Installed in an open-air theater of greenery, between restanques and fig trees, the festival seduced from the start by its unique setting and demanding programming. Today, it is one of the major cultural events of the summer on the Côte d'Azur, supported by numerous patrons and prestigious partners such as Villa Marie Saint-Tropez.
